Overview

Alexander Fleming House is located in the business district of London, near St Paul's Cathedral and the Barbican Arts Centre. This part of London is very diverse in its culture and atmosphere, attracting artists and designers as well as large financial institutions and banks. Close by are the colourful markets of the East End as well as the more traditional tourist sights.

The halls consist of three separate buildings with private single study bedrooms of 4/6 or 8 in self-contained flats with washbasins. The bathroom and kitchen/diner is shared only with the other occupants of the flat.

Situated on a pleasant paved piazza, this hall is ideal for the traveller wanting to get a real feel for the sights and sounds of London. There are good transport links to the West End and theatreland. The halls are also safe, clean and secure with friendly staff on hand to make sure your stay is happy and memorable.

With regret, children are not permitted at this residence as there is a limit to 1 person per bedroom and children are not allowed to stay in a bedroom by themselves.

Thanks for the good accommodation. Cleanliness at a good level, bathroom, kitchen for eating - everything was cleaned, equipped with the necessary things. The only thing I used was to put a latch so that the doors would not knock when they were closed, it periodically woke me up when the doors thumped in the corridor. And so everything is fine, thank you for the service and recommend

Great value for money, used unirooms before and will use again. Some little frictions, I was late arriving and reception was closed, the sign said back in 15 minutes but it wasn't true. Room cleanliness was very good, but duvet/pillow less so, plastic wrapped mattress unpleasant. Shower drain also seemed to be blocked. Wouldn't stop me staying again

The location is great but that comes with some negative sides, mainly linked to noise. Closing the window helps but then the noise comes from the other residents who slam the doors all the time (because they are fire doors they do make a lot of noise). The place is clean and the people working there are super nice and helpful.

Well it is nice that the reasonable and functioning rooms are on the market off student season. Quite neat and proper a bit smelly as in naughty smoker had been in it. Noisy traffic etc. a little bit off area. Staff in reception helpful.

No communal cleaning on day we stayed. Automatic light in one toilet not working. Extractors in other toilet not working. Great location, friendly reception. Generally very clean.

Fantastic location, friendly check in, great value for money. One thing that would make a big difference is a fan in the room as it was very hot even with the window open.

The accommodation was nice and the location is very convenient. The only thing missing was the iron and ironing board but everything else was nice.
