Banbury is a town of Saxon origin which stands on the River Cherwell. It is home to many fascinating historical attractions including Banbury castle built in 1135 and Tooley’s boatyard dating back over 200 years.
The Bowling Green was originally a farmhouse, converted into an inn and now recently extended to create a restaurant and privately owned hotel run by Phil and Karen Slater, offering a friendly and personal service.
The newly built hotel wing comprises of six ensuite twin rooms, tastefully finished in a continental style and all with a whole host of features to make your stay a pleasant one.
Chargrilled steaks are the speciality of the house and there are two restaurant areas, the hotel is situated just two minutes from Junction 11 on the M40 and five minutes from Banbury town centre.
