Overview

GENERAL INTRODUCTION:

Winston Churchill was born at the palace. When King George 4th visited Blenheim, his words were, 'the royal family have nothing to equal this!' Clearly, this is a sight to visit!

Blenheim Palace is arguably one of the most impressive sights to visit in England. Built as a monument to the military success of John Churchill, the first Duke of Malborough- according to the tenacity of his wife, Sarah. This tour is only offered for private group bookings max 4 persons. The entry fee to the palace worth £31 per person is included in the ticket price, as is the return bus fare from Oxford and one hot drink.

Unless requested by advance notice otherwise, the itinerary is that the guide will meet clients in Oxford city centre to take clients on the public bus to the palace. The return bus fare ticket to the palace is included in the ticket price. Alternatively, a taxi there can be arranged for by request but the taxi fare added on as an extra £30+ each way.

Before entering the palace staterooms with an audio guide for self-guided tour, there will be a one hour guided introduction with a complimentary drink in the palace cafe and a walk in the gardens to introduce the people and the events behind this palace.

Following the completion of the guided tour, there is the option to further explore the palace's exhibition rooms or the huge park and grounds. The public bus schedule returns every half hour to Oxford from outside the palace gates or there is the option to walk to Woodstock village to enjoy the picturesque village before catching the bus back to Oxford.
