Comfortable and warm. This is a well-run bed and breakfast, where the staff are pleasant and helpful. I stayed at the Parkwood on what were some of the coldest days of the 2011/12 winter, and was so relieved to find the place clean and beautifully warm. It is not one of the plushest places I have stayed at, but it is one of the better bed and breakfast establishments in my experience. For anyone looking to stay in London (where nice hotels can be horrendously expensive), this place is absolutely fine. Its location, only yards from Hyde Park and Oxford Street, is superb. The breakfasts are also decent and freshly cooked: a traditional and generous English breakfast. I stayed in Room 18, which is in the basement, next to the breakfast room. The receptionist offered me this room because it has its own bathroom, because the room I originally booked didn't have one, and I wanted one. There were one or two drawbacks to this room (poor reception for my mobile phone, the low rumble of the underground train far below very early, the sound of staff occasionally outside), but because everything else was so agreeable, I didn't bother grumbling (or complaining), and slept through the distant sound of trains. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend the Parkwood to anyone.

Great central location but also in quiet area. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable, great nights sleep. A great selection of tea's at breakfast, pity I didn't notice them before I had ordered coffee. Cooked breakfast, freshly cooked to order. We would definitely stay again.
