Overview

Pam and Tony have been welcoming guests to York for 21 years. They are passionate about their bed and breakfast which is situated just a ten minute walk away from the city centre and a five minute walk from the station.

The Apple House has a very large private car park to the rear where you are able to leave your car from early on the day of arrival to late on the day of check out.

The gardens are well maintained and offer seating areas during the warmer months. Ten en-suite bedrooms are spotlessly clean and well decorated with flat screen wall mounted TVs with DVD player and there is  an extensive free DVD library.

All rooms have tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits and wine glasses are provided along with complimentary whisky.

The bathrooms are spacious with power showers and organic toiletries are supplied.

It is an extremely cosy and informal guest house where nothing is too much trouble and the family are always on hand to assist and advise.

We really enjoyed our three days in York but the thing that made it magic was the hospitality of the landlady of Apple House. She was knowledgeable about local dining options and attractions. She made a special welcome to our little daughter. She seemed genuinely friendly and affectionate. When we return, we shall most certainly make it our first choice.

Highly recommend the Apple House. Rooms abd ovedrall facility was sparkling clean and bright and comfortable. Easy to reach by car, Apple House has ample off street parking. It is within easy walking distance to train. Pam and Tony are most delightful innkeepers.
