Worth paying extra for a room on the first floor overlooking canal. Location on Canal Street means it is easy to find, particularly for LGBT people. Very central for Manchester's night life. Le Ville Hotel, Manchester

Great place to stay when in Manchester. Friendly and clean. We were going to a concert at the AO Arena which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel so couldn't have been better Roomzzz Manchester Victoria

Staff were excellent, and all round our stay was superb, and we stay at plenty of hotels and bnbs so we know a good one when we see one! Haley's Hotel, Leeds
