Bayview Lodge offers a big pool and a braai area. The honesty bar in the dining-area provides a wide range of beverages and wines. Enjoy a versatile breakfast in our beautiful dining-area or at our breakfast-terrace. Our lounge with fireplace, CD player, a small library and a cosy sitting area invites you to relax and enjoy your evening.

Off street secure parking is available.

We will happily arrange services such like airport transfers, city tours, day tours, car hire and offer advice on shopping, theatre and events.

Food & beverage

There is a versatile breakfast in the dining area or on the breakfast-terrace. The full breakfast buffet includes a selection of breads and pastries, local cheese and cold meats, cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit. A cooked breakfast to suit one's individual tastes is also available. The honesty bar in the dining-area provides a wide range of beverages and wines.

Attractions

The heart of Hout Bay, the harbour and wharf are just a 5 minutes drive. There is a variety of interesting shops and a large selection of restaurants that are all worth a visit. What ever your taste feels like you can be sure that Hout Bay will make your holiday worthwhile.

If you feel like taking a little boat trip to Diuker Island you are more than welcome to do so as you will get to see hundreds of seals out there. Only a few minutes car drive or even within walking distance you can explore the largest bird sanctuary in South Africa “World of Birds“.

At only 15 minutes by car, you get to three of the oldest and most famous vineyards in South Africa. The “Groot Constantia“, “Klein Constantia“ and the noble “Buitenverwachting“ whose fine cuisine is very well known internationally.

Kirstenbosch, one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world, can be also reached in 15 minutes car drive.

Hout Bay is a good starting point do discover the Cape Peninsula. One of the most famous coastal drives, the so called “Chapman´s Peak Drive” will take you south to Noordhoek, Simon´s Town and down to the “Cape of Good Hope”

All interesting tourist spots such as for example Boulders Beach, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg, only to mention a few of them are just a short drive from Hout Bay.
All in all Hout Bay is a unique place to enjoy your holiday and to explore the Cape.
