Overview

The Bedford Lodge is located in Shanklin Old Village with its quaint shops and eateries all close by.

Bedrooms are available as single, double and Kingsize and are all individually decorated. A relaxed and hearty breakfast is served until late. The beach on Sandown Bay is at the end of the road with a wonderful esplanade on which to meander or you can just sit in the Lodge's leafy garden. Being a short distance from several cycling paths, bus routes and Shanklin Railway station makes it an ideal place from which to explore the beautiful island.

Free car parking, Wi-Fi and complimentary afternoon tea and coffee are also provided.

Lovely room with a great seaside theme. Our hostess was the best dressed and most charming owner that we have ever come across. There was a definite high-standard 'Country Living' feel about the place and is set in gorgeous grounds. We would definitely return to the Bedford Lodge if we were ever to come back to Shanklin again.

The room was spacious and lovely and clean. Wasn't expecting so many stairs, but we got used to it. There is a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in the house with very friendly and polite staff. With only 12 rooms it meant that it was very peaceful and quiet. Thank you Karena and all your staff for a lovely week.

Directions: From the Isle of Wight Ferry head West onto Ferry Road A3021 towards Castle Street then turn left onto Castle Street, at the roundabout take the third exit onto Well Road then left onto York Avenue and turn right. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Lushington Avenue A3054 then turn right onto Park Road and continue onto Briddlesford Road. At the roundabout take the second exit to Downend Road. Turn left onto A3056 the right onto Princelett Street the first left onto Little Pricelett, continue onto Aspe Manor Road and left into Shanklin Road A3020, then right onto High Street A3055 and first left onto Eastcliff Road.
