History

Château de Moulin le Comte is one of the many hamlets in Aire-sur-la-Lys. It was first mentioned in archives dating back to 1202 and formed part of the crown lands until the French Revolution. It was sold as a property of the state to Jean-Baptiste Personne of Saint-Omer. In 1817 it became the property of the widow Buffin, a woman of private means from Saint-Omer.

Food & beverage

Room prices include a Continental breakfast where fresh pastries, homemade jams, fresh tea and coffee are provided daily between 7.30am-9.30am in the restaurant.

The property also provides a table d’hôte which has an outstanding reputation, serving refined and carefully prepared dishes at reasonable prices. Shared meals with hosts featuring local dishes are also available upon request. A fixed and set menu is available priced 5 courses at €29.00 /person or at €49.00 /person including drinks. The evening starts by an apero at 7.30pm followed by dinner at 8.00pm. Aperitifs are served in the lounge or if the weather permits, on the cosy terrace. Please book lunch and dinner 48hrs in advance in the additional information section when booking your accommodation.

Grounds & Gardens

Château de Moulin le Comte is surrounded by a 2500m2 large and peaceful garden through which the river Leie flows. You may also enjoy a biking tour or a stroll in the countryside, the village and its picturesque surroundings.

Other facilities

Guests can relax in the lounge and there is free parking onsite. Room service is available along with shoe shine machines. Children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing beds. There is no capacity for extra beds in the rooms.
