Overview

The Fleece Inn is a 14th Century quintessential English pub, owned by the National Trust and run with a love of tradition. Its picturesque location nestled in the Cotswolds coupled with the period features of the pub itself create the atmosphere of a time gone by.

Offering two types of accommodation including;

The Master's Bedchamber, this cosy room overlooks St Leonard's Church and The Cross at the heart of the village. The double room has an ensuite shower room and is the perfect end to a night at The Fleece and visiting the surrounding countryside.

If you are looking for something a little different why not stay in MoonGazer, a quirky roll top caravan. With a cosy double bed, wood burning stove and shower/toilet block in a scheduled private area in the Fleece orchard, MoonGazer is glamping in style! There’s even a private deck overlooking the village stream. Breakfast can be served outdoors or in the pub.

Overall our stay was excellent. The food was very good and good value for money. The tv signal was very poor in the afternoon but so was the weather, in the evening when we eventually retired to bed it was excellent. I have wanted to stop here for many months now and was not disappointed, we will return

Had an interesting two nights stay in this rustic Inn. You are looked after very well by Nigel the landlord, the breakfast was excellent, as was the real ales in the evening. Would consider going back for a further stay.

Apart from failings in the caravan which were discussed and agreed with the owner, this was an excellent visit. The ancient pub was quite captivating and the service and food provided was excellent. We will return.

No fuss or frills but a genuine and honest service with excellent food, a unique and pleasant setting and the perfect one night break.

Excellent place, excellent service, excellent staff, fantastic breakfast, pub menu, open fires, character, beers ... and landlord.

A unique place, this, and the atmosphere is terrific, with all involved very helpful and friendly.
