Accommodation and Room Keys

All residential guests have been allocated single bedrooms in Hendrefoelan Village.

MONDAY-FRIDAY ARRIVALS Keys to rooms can be collected from Hendrefoilan Reception, which is open between 2pm and 10.30pm. After 10.30pm, members of the Security Team will be on site and able to issue keys from house #40. Please contact Security on 01792 205678 if you arrive after 10.30pm. Please allow for commute time as Security will be travelling from Singleton Campus to Hendrefoilan Village.

WEEKEND ARRIVALS If you arrive on Saturday or Sunday, you can check in between 5.30pm and 10.30pm only, at house 38. Please contact Security on 01792 205678 if you arrive after 10.30pm.

Any problems with your accommodation should be reported to Hendrefoelan Reception, house #40. Out of hours emergencies should be reported to Campus Security on 01792 205678. Bedrooms will be available from 2pm on day of arrival. Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10am on the day of departure and return keys to Hendrefoelan Reception (house #40). All delegates have a single bedroom with shared bathroom facilities. You will be provided with bed linen and 2 towels (1 bath & 1 hand towel). If you require a change of towels or linen, please visit Hendrefoelan Reception (house #40). The bedrooms do not have televisions, hairdryers or irons. The laundrette at Hendrefoelan Student Village is open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. The following will be available in the kitchens in Hendrefoelan Student Village: kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave and crockery. This will allow you to prepare breakfasts only. Please be aware that no further cooking utensils will be available. As there is limited access to maintenance cover on Saturdays and Sundays, only issues deemed to be emergencies will be attended to on these days with all other issues responded to, where possible, the next day. Guests are required to contact Fulton House Security on weekends to report emergency jobs such as burst pipes. In each bedroom there is a safety information card displayed on the back of the bedroom door. Contained on the card are the contact numbers for Fulton House Security, HSV Welfare Wardens and HSV Office Staff.

By Car: Travelling west on the M4 leave the motorway at junction 42 and follow signs for Swansea on the A483 (Fabian Way [Point A]). On crossing the River Tawe the A483 becomes the A4067. Continue west along the road, passing Sainsbury’s Superstore on the left-hand side of the road. After approximately 2 miles take a right at the traffic lights in the direction of Sketty; as you approach the lights keep to the right-hand lane. Take the second exit at the first roundabout and follow the road straight; go straight through the set of traffic lights and take a left at the top of the hill onto Gower Road. After approximately 1 mile take a right into Hendrefoilan Drive. By train: High-speed InterCity trains run at hourly intervals from London (Paddington) to Swansea. Travel time approximately 2 hours 50 minutes. The main InterCity services offer connections to Swansea from Birmingham, Bristol Parkway, Cardiff and London. There are taxi ranks outside High Street Station, St Mary’s Church (city centre) and the Quadrant Bus Station By Bus: Inter-city journeys by bus terminate at the Quadrant Bus Station. Catch local bus numbers 4/4A/4B, X18, 82A to reach the Hendrefoilan Student Village. There is also a taxi rank just outside the bus station. Swansea City centre is just 15 minutes away by bus. If you wish to use the bus service during your visit the following routes will take you direct to the city centre: 4A/4B, X18, 82A. If you wish to visit our seaside village of Mumbles (also only 15 minutes distance), the X18 and 82A are direct routes.
