History

The house dates from 1790 and has included such famous guests as General Haig.

Food & beverage

A continental breakfast is served every morning in the dining room from 8.30am-10.00am and costs €10/person. The breakfast comprises fresh croissants and breads, a selection of French cheeses & hams, home made jams, fresh eggs from our corn fed hens, coffee, hot chocolate and teas.

A 5 course gourmet dinner is available and prepared with fresh seasonal products from the garden and local markets. The dinner is served "table d'hote style" three days a week and needs to be booked prior to your arrival. Please add this request in the section "additional information" at the time of the booking.

At 5.30pm,  all guests meet in the lounge for some "petits fours" and "apéritifs". Dinner is normally served at 6.00pm. A typical meal would consist of Seared Foie Gras on a bed of Rocquette followed by Pan Fried Duck Breast, Gratin Dauphinoise and seasonal vegetables. A cheese platter is served as dessert.

Please note that vegetarian options are available and that the food is accompanied with the finest french wines.

Guests of Maison de Plumes can have a drink at the bar or relax in the Art Deco style lounge. 

Grounds & Gardens

The large and peaceful gardens ‘Les Jardins Blanches’ are south facing and are a perfect place to relax. The inviting terrace is an ideal place to relaxing with a cold beer, a good book from the library or for taking a dip in the hot tub.

There is a library, and free Wi-Fi access is available in the entire house.
