Overview

Campus Residence Odalys L'Archipel is located a few minutes from the city centre of La Rochelle, just 1.4 km from the beaches and harbor, 10 minutes walk from the centre, and 15 minutes walk from the beach and the tower de la Lanterne.

The residence is situated in a quiet secure area and is ideally located close to shops and bus routes, offering double ensuite studio and family apartments on a self catering basis. These are fully furnished and each room has its own kitchenette and private bathroom.

Food & beverage

Each room has a kitchenette with hob, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher but all kitchen utensils are not provided.

Furthermore a continental breakfast is also available and is served in the breakfast room every morning from 7.30am to 10.30am and costs 10.00 € / person.

The breakfast consists of hot and cold drinks, yoghurts, jams, hams, cheeses, breads & viennese pastries and fruits.

Grounds & Gardens

La Rochelle is a city facing the ocean through its old port, which is a must venue, and has many parks and gardens recommended for walks and cycling (Park des Pères, Park de la Gare, garden of Porte Dauphine, garden of Moroccan scents, the garden of la porte royale). Its 900 acres of surrounding marshes are home to exceptional wildlife.

The Châtelaillon beach (the seaside resort of La Rochelle) is considered as the treasure of La Rochelle, and is also the longest of all the surrounding beaches. It is convenient for both walks and swimming.

The thalassotherapy centre Rochelle Sud offers a wide range of ocean cures and treatments. It has a great panoramic view of the surrounding islands, Fort Boyard, the Aix and Oleron.

Other facilities

All apartments have a flat TV LCD screen (Canal +), and free Wi-fi. An outdoor unheated pool is operational from mid-May to mid-September and there is a massage room for your use. Also available is a bicycle rental service as well as laundry and ticketing services.

Pets are permitted only if proof of vaccination/chip information is provided. Dogs must be kept on a lead within the residence. A supplement of 7.50 € / day is payable for the admission of animals.

Both exterior and interior parkings are available at a rate of 7 € / day. Daily cleaning of the rooms is included and the bed linen is changed every 3 days. Access is secured by the use of a badge.

Extra beds/cots are only available upon request and must be confirmed by the hotel prior to arrival. By Train: (The train station is 800 meters away from the residence and provides connections to the main French cities)

Directions from Gare de La Rochelle to the residence:

Leaving the station, take the Boulevard Joffre - Arriving at the roundabout turn right into the street Emile Normandin - Then turn into the first street to your left and continue straight until the roundabout - At the roundabout turn right and continue straight until the next roundabout - At the roundabout , take the 3rd exit and continue straight - Then turn right into the street Senac de Melihan - Turn into the first street to your left, you are now in Huguenotte Street, the residence is located at no. 27.

By Air: La Rochelle airport is served by flights from Paris , Lyon , London, Birmingham, Southampton , Manchester, Edinburgh , Dublin , Cork, Oslo and Porto.

By Taxi:The cost of a taxi from the airport to the residence is approximately €15-20 (the residence is 20 mins away from the airport by car)
