The facilities were generally excellent but badly let down by the terrible mattress and bed. I felt every spring in the mattress and the flimsy bed sagged. I'm not particularly heavy either! I feel for the poor students who have to try to sleep well on such poor beds for a while academic year. Most important item in a bedroom - the clue is in the name!

Plus points: the staff were great and even rustled me up a couple of coat hangers. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Downsides: the room was at the bottom of a moat, and therefore pretty dark and gloomy. There was no means to give the kitchen a wipe down, so I had to make a trip out to the local Spar to buy sponges.

Room was brand new and excellent ( maybe different when it has had a student occupying it ) Near parking for small charge. Good bus service into Cardiff centre Staff helpful and friendly. No meals available but plenty of restaurants in Cardiff. Very handy for Stadium, bus stops right outside.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the price was very fair. My only minor gripe was that there could have been minimal crockery and cutlery provided.

SamR

Unable to use drinking water since 'chlorination eas in process'. Should ha e warned us or given us bottled water. Otherwise great place and very clran

The switch to turn on the extractor fan and hot water is very high up. Anyone average height or below might struggle to reach it.
