We loved our stay at St John's. Fabulous buildings. Breakfast was extremely generous and so fresh and appealing. Common room with its facilities was very much appreciated. Hard for people on street side to cope with the heat as they couldn't open their windows (traffic noise) to let air in. Accommodation worked well for us but transport became a bit expensive. With introduction of new Opal Card interstaters who didn't have one found it hard to catch buses and had to use taxis. In the heat and humidity it was a bit hard to walk into the city/circular quay/galleries etc. Great range of restaurants available in Newtown. Does booking site make it clear that there will be quite a significant addition to room charges with foreign transaction bank charges? Loved the Nicholson Museum of Roman Antiquities in the university grounds. Website doesn't reveal that single rooms and double rooms are not in the same building. This can make a difference to family groups.

Loved staying here. Pity parking isn't a bit more well organised/available. Lack of air con could get awkward at the height of Summer! Breakfast is amazing. The dining hall is like eating at Hogwarts.

We missed soap at the room, a cloth for cleaning the foor after shower. Otherwise everything was perfect.

AIR: From Kingsford Smith Airport Sydney take a train to Central Station then take a bus along Parramatta Road (please see below in BUS) TRAIN: Central Station is well serviced with buses along Parramatta Road (please see below in BUS) BUS: From Central Station bus no. 412 travels along Missenden Road and stops right in front of the College (one stop after the BP service station, cnr Parramatta Rd & Missenden Rd). The 413, 436, 437, 438, 440, 461, 480 & 483 stop on Parramatta Road & Missenden Road intersection (disembark at the BP service station). A short 5 minute walk along Missenden Road brings you to the College Reception entrance on the left. CAR: Guests coming from the city on Parramatta Road can turn left into Missenden Road Loading Dock area to check-in. Once checked in you will be directed back around to the Parramatta Road entrance to park if allocated a spot. TAXI: Guests can catch a taxi directly at the Airport taxi stand to the College.
