Lamb Inn B&B, Hindon

The Lamb is Located in the centre of the beautiful village of Hindon which can be found in the West Wiltshire Downs, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is also close to one of the wonders of the ancient world Stonehenge.

 

We have 18 beautiful boutique-style bedrooms with 4 of them having their own private gardens as well as a traditional pub, dining room and two private rooms, it’s the perfect venue for locals and visitors to enjoy.

 

Enjoy local attractions such as such as Old Wardour Castle, Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Longleat Safari Park, Stourhead and the glorious walks of the Wiltshire Country Side.

History

The Lamb has been trading as a public house since as early as the 12th Century. By 1870 it was already well established as a posting inn that supplied 300 post horses for coaches going to and from London and the West Country. To this day the building retains plenty of its original character and features including inglenook fireplaces, flag stone floors and heavy wooden beams.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served in the dining room and is included in your stay, there is a choice of a full English breakfast or lighter options such as muesli or yoghurt.

Lunches and dinners are also available every day from traditional British classics to finer dining, you are sure to find a dish to suit all tastes and appetite.The restaurant is open daily and dishes change seasonally.

Private dining is available for larger groups in the The Meddling Pike which can seat up to 10 people and The Wylye Duck has its own terrace and can accommodate up to 45 for a buffet and 30 people seated.

Grounds & Gardens

Guests may enjoy the outdoor seating area to relax, have a drink or have a snack.

All bedrooms include the following facilities; complimentary hi-speed Wi-Fi, temperature controlled air conditioning, Nespresso premium coffee machine and tea making facilities. A choice of either Bathtub or walk in shower, flat screen TV, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, work desk, lamp and chair.Premium toiletries. Guest car parking.

The Lamb is also dog friendly and well behaved dogs are welcome to stay with you at the hotel for a small additional charge (£20 per stay). Space is limited for this service so please make a note in the additional information section when booking. Dogs are also welcome in the bar area at the Lamb, although please do keep them on the lead. 

The inn are now able to offer guests discounted one day tickets to Longleat Safari Park.
