Overview

Uplands House overlooks an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It stands in a garden within old parkland, and it is hidden away down a long drive in the Warwickshire countryside. We are only 15 minutes by car from Moreton in Marsh, Stratford on Avon, and Warwick Castle, and this is a great base from which to explore and discover the Cotswolds. Everything you will want to see is within easy driving distance.

We try to provide the very best of English country house hospitality. You will enjoy an enthusiastic welcome, comfortable rooms, and views over the parklands. We will provide tasty organic produce, home cooking, a surprisingly good wine list, log fires, and every comfort in relaxing and peaceful surroundings.

All bedrooms have their own ensuite carpeted bathrooms in which we provide large towels and dressing gowns, soap, shampoo and bubble bath. Guests will also find in their rooms fresh flowers, a colour television, radio clock, tea and coffee making facilities, heated rollers and a hairdryer.

We offer a single person occupancy rate on Monday - Thursday only. Please enter the code SINGLE to receive this special rate.

***Uplands House are proud to announce that they have been voted B&B of the Year 2013 by Shires Magazine*** Other awards include Enjoy England Gold Award, Holiday Accommodation of the Year 2010 by Insight Mazagine and Best Oxfordshire B&B 2010 by Shires Magazine.

An enjoyable stay in beautiful surroundings. Our room was exceptional. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and we were instantly made to feel comfortable and at home. Thankyou for a lovely weekend.

Arrival information & directions

Address: Lady Poppy Cooksey, Uplands House, Upton, Near Banbury, OxfordshireOX15 6HJ, United Kingdom

Uplands House is convenient for the M40, (junctions 11 or 12). We are just off the A422, 6 miles from Banbury on the road to Stratford on Avon.

Directions:

From the M40 travelling North, take Junction 11, turn left towards Banbury, and then follow the A422 through Wroxton. After a few miles you see a sign welcoming you to Warwickshire. Our drive is exactly 1 mile from this sign, on the RHS, just after a brown sign on LHS saying "Upton House 200 yards". The drive is 10 metres before the road signposted to Ratley. Turn right in, and we are the first entrance on the right.

From M40 South, turn off at Junction 12, follow signpost to Gaydon, turn left at the roundabout in the village following the sign to Upton House, Continue for about 2 miles and then turn right following sign Upton House, turn left at the 'T' junction and continue to the end of the road, still following Upton House, turn left, going past Upton House, and pass the turning on left signposted to Ratley. There is a drive 10 metres further on the left, marked Uplands Farm. Turn in, and we are the first entrance on the right.
