Darsham Old Hall offers luxury Bed and Breakfast accommodation for adults only within spacious, grand rooms and suites designed to capture the Old Hall’s rich hunting and horse-racing heritage, whilst ensuring that guests are offered the very best in modern day comforts. The Hall dates back to the 13th century and is thought to be one of the oldest continually inhabited, privately owned homes in the country. Ideal for special occasions, enjoy and relax in the unique, exclusive and private surroundings of this historic country house with its boutique hotel feel.

The grand drawing room and breakfast room, exclusively available to guests, provide areas to relax, away from the heat of the summer or cosy in front of the wood-burner in the winter. Our breakfasts include our own free-range eggs, meat farmed and supplied by the local farm shop and smoked fish from Orford.

Darsham Old Hall is approached along a quarter mile private drive and sits amidst 60 acres of private gardens, pasture and woodland and so offers a truly tranquil retreat. Guests are invited to wander around the grounds and explore the wide range of wildlife and birds, including owls and king-fishers, that share this environment with the award winning pedigree alpacas and horses. A haven for wildlife and photographic enthusiasts too.
Seating areas, and the two ponds, provide quiet spots with great views across the farm so there is plenty of room to escape with a good book, a tasty picnic or glass of champagne!

Darsham Old Hall offers a convenient location from which to explore Suffolk’s Heritage coast; including Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, Aldeburgh and Snape; the famous RSPB bird reserve at Minsmere; and the many music, literary and art festivals held in the area through-out the year. There is a train station at Darsham, connecting via Ipswich to London.
