Geschichte

Hackness Grange Hotel is a 19th Century Grade II Georgian Manor House which retains its traditional heritage and period features but keeps pace with modern times.

In keeping with its traditional style, is the decoration/refurbishment, the hotel has undergone a significant transformation as well as ongoing works. The main manor house has been decorated maintaining a traditional feel whereas the Courtyard Rooms have been done in a more modern, contemporary way.  We have however thought of those guests who may have difficulty in climbing stairs in the main manor house but would still like the traditional experience, and so have set aside two rooms closest to the manor house which have been decorated in the traditional way (Rooms 29 and 30).

Essen & Getränke

Dining at the hotel is a culinary experience. ‘The Derwent Restaurant’ offers an A-la-carte menu with locally sourced ingredients, while the 2325 Lounge Bar offers lounge bar food and a well-stocked bar. Both rooms are traditionally decorated, with open fires roaring (when it’s cold enough!) and offer garden, lake and hillside views.

Grundstücke und Gärten

The hotel sits on 17 acres of private grounds, surrounded by woodland and splendid hillside views. The focal point (after the hotel) is the charming lake which is home to ducks and geese. And around April / May then guests may see some goslings patrolling the grounds!

There are pleasant walks to take around the grounds and along the river. The hotel can arrange for guests to fly fish for trout while at the hotel along the River Derwent.
