Sumner House, Chester

Brilliant position. Clean room, towels and bedding. We were not expecting Toiletries so (even though we did not use them) they were a nice touch. Cannot fault Sumner House if you are just staying a few nights in Chester and want to be in walking distance of all the sites with easy access to the station. Can certainly recommend.

Sumner House is in an ideal position for access to the town centre, city walls and the bus station. The reception staff are excellent and provide immediate help with any query. The beds here are the most comfortable out of anywhere else I’ve stayed - it’s the only place where I don’t miss my bed at home!

Great location and for what we paid it was great. Only downside was check out time of 9.30. When you've gone for a night out and don't get back until 2.00 it's a bit early to check out when most places are 11.00

Very convenient for singing in the cathedral. Helpful staff on front desk. Shame the televisions didn’t work. Would use again if we were singing in Chester cathedral again.
