Buckingham has numerous Georgian buildings and an historic Old Gaol/Tourist Information. The town is situated on the River Great Ouse and has riverside walks and open green spaces. There are many independent shops, restaurants and cafes and a Street Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Buckingham is home to one of the UK's two private universities. The internationally famous Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit is 6 miles from the town. The National Trust properties; Stowe Landscape Gardens, Waddesdon Manor and Claydon Manor are all within short driving distances. Blenheim Palace is 24 miles away, Bletchley Park is 12 miles away and Oxford is 28 miles.
Buckingham's central location makes it the ideal base for a touring holiday.
