Geschichte

Zwahili Game Lodge is situated in an area with a rich history; rock paintings are still visible on the walls of caves in the area showing past inhabitance of Hunter Gatherer, Koi and Bantu paintings. Bead making sites, a rain controlling site and remains of a Bantu city have been discovered.

There is also a historical site dating back to the Anglo Boer War, where Witklip was used as a hiding spot by some of the Boer soldiers while spying on the British movement in the region. One can still see the old Four Colour Transvaal Flag, scratched into the Sandstone.  Today the property uses this mountain as a Sundowner spot, or fit guests can climb up the rock using the chain latter to enjoy the beautiful views from the top.

Enjoy freshly prepared dishes at the properties restaurant and relax in the bar. Private dinners & bush picnics can be arranged on request. Should guests require a very early departure, a complimentary breakfast pack will be arranged. Breakfast & Dinner included.

Twice daily Wildlife Safari's with experienced guides are arranged in open safari vehicles. The reserve is home to a wide variety of plains game, including Zebra, Giraffe and Wildebeest, as well as a wide variety of antelope and over 400 species of birds. Guided bush walks can also be arranged, and is an amazing way to experience the bushveld differently.

Bedrooms include the following facilities; Bathrobes, daily room service, ceiling fans, hairdryer, King or Queen size bed, Desk, mini Bar fridge & safe. The Executive Suites and the Presidential Suite also includes Satellite TV and a private splash pool.
