The Townhouse, Stratford-upon-Avon

History

The Townhouse is located in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Housed in a 400-year-old, Grade II Listed building and opposite Shakespeare’s school, the perfect place to enjoy the history, culture and entertainment that the town offers.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is available for guests at an additional charge. 

The Townhouse also has a restaurant for light lunches and relaxed dinners. Pre-theatre set menu meals are also available from 12pm – 3pm & 5pm – 7pm every day, ideal for those going to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The in-house bar offers a great selection of wines, whiskies, craft beers, champagne and soft drinks as well as a bespoke gin menu. Every Monday – Saturday at 5.30pm, enjoy live piano played by students from King Edward’s School in Stratford upon Avon.

Grounds & Gardens

There is plenty going on in Stratford upon Avon right on the doorstep of The Townhouse. Located just a two-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, five minutes’ walk to Shakespeare’s birthplace and five minutes in the other direction to the Holy Trinity Church.

Each room varies in size and view to cover most budgets, but all rooms have:
