We are based on Malton Grange Lodge Park in Amotherby, very close to Malton and between York and Scarborough. The East Coast has plenty of places to visit including Whitby, Filey and Robin Hoods Bay. The historical City of York has plenty of tourist attractions such as York Minster, The Castle Museum, The York Viking Centre, Cliffords Tower and York Dungeons. There is also an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants within the city centre.
Flamingo Land, a huge theme park with lots of thrill rides and a zoo, is just ten minutes away and well worth a visit. There is also Eden Camp, Yorkshire Lavender and Castle Howard very close by. The Pickering steam railway will carry you through the stunning scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Dalby Forest is also a great day out for all the family. Whether you enjoy walking or cycling there are lots of different trails, and plenty of other activities including a children's play park. If you are a thrill-seeker there is the Go Ape Tree Top challenge.
The market town of Malton is only 3 miles from the lodges. This has a weekly market plus special events such as food or Christmas markets. There is a frequent train service from Malton to York. Taxis are also available and can be ordered to, or from, the lodge park, if needed.
The highly-rated Queens head Cantonese Restaurant is only a 2 minute drive away. The Smithy's Arms Pub is 5 minutes drive way which serves fantastic home-cooked food, and also offers a takeaway service and a breakfast menu.
There is a woodland area within the park where you can stroll, spot wildlife and exercise your dog if you have brought one with you.
