History

Once owned and loved by the Duke of Wellington. Many of the original features have been maintained with high Georgian ceilings, ornate coving and big sash windows.

Breakfast is served between 7.00am to 9.00am weekdays and 8.00am to 10.00am at weekends.

The hotels restaurant is the perfect place to meet and relax. Whether it is a leisurely breakfast, coffee with friends, a light bite, a quick drink or lingering over a sumptuous dinner they have it all. They love food and fresh local produce is used as much as possible. Joules Restaurant benefits from the original features of this character property, with a separate bar area where diners can relax to enjoy a drink before or after their meal. Serving principally Italian cuisine, the restaurant’s signature dish is the stone-baked pizza but there is also a range of pasta dishes, as well as classics including homemade burgers, fajitas and steak.

For the energetic they offer full membership of a local fitness club for a small supplement. The club offers a full range of wet and dry facilities and is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
