Failté to Cluaran Guest House. We are a sophisticated guesthouse set in a period building dating from the 1860s. We are located in the famous Bruntsfield Links area of Edinburgh within close walking distance to city centre tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Castle.
Renovated when we first moved here in 1999, the house is decorated with bright, harmonious colours which has drawn much admiration from our guests, as it compliments its airy spacious interior.
Many original features have been restored to something of their former glory e.g. the stunning stained glass panel of our entrance door and sanded original floorboards. Cornices, wooden shutters and much of the original flooring have all been rejuvenated giving a fascinating glimpse into the skilled craftsmanship of the period.
Cluaran House has been the location of 4 film shoots and 1 international fashion shoot. (There is a link to 1 of the films on our website).
Cluaran House is a family run Guest House aiming to give our guests a welcoming "home from home" experience. All our bedrooms are ensuite except the single which has its own private bathroom adjacent. Cluaran House has always been completely non smoking.
We have free Wi Fi. It is essential to confirm your arrival time by email or telephone.
We do not have parking. it is only on-street parking.
