Summary

20th Century B&B offering family and four poster rooms within a very short walk to all of Canterbury's attractions.

Introduction

Ersham Lodge has for a number of years built up a reputation for quality of service at an affordable and realistic price. The friendly and enthusiastic owners, have established Ersham Lodge as one of Canterbury's premier bed & breakfast guest houses, open all year round.

Situated just outside the City centre - without the night time noise of the city centre - yet leaving you with just a very short walk to all of Canterbury's attractions and eateries. With one off road car parking space available for each bedroom on the car park at the front of the building.

Ersham Lodge has delightfully appointed public areas and bedrooms that have been carefully and tastefully re-modelled and decorated to remain in keeping with the age and style of the building. Bedroom options are a double bedroom, twin bedroom, or single bedroom, but also have family bedrooms, triple bedrooms, and for that special romantic occasion a Four Poster bedroom.

Ersham Lodge is closed for refurbishment until October 2014

History to the present day

The original building was built in a Tudor style during the early part of the last century (circa 1920's) and it now has bags of charm and character which over the years has developed a unique elegance and ambience all of its own.

Food and Drinks

A full English Breakfast is served with tea coffee and fruit juices.

Grounds and gardens

The garden is a gem in the city. Perfectly tended and typically English, with close mown lawns and flower borders of roses, chrysanthemums, and bedding plants. With a magnificent old wisteria, and fruit trees all growing in harmony. The garden is south facing and sunny with ample outside furniture for your use, some placed in the sun and some in the shade. Don't forget that Canterbury is not just for sight seeing, this part of England is one of the sunniest and driest areas in the country, which may also help you to relax and unwind in your own 'Garden of England'.

Other facilities

Wi-fi internet access is available free to all guests, and there is a small sitting room/reading room available to guests.
