Farmborough House B&B, Chudleigh

History

The property was originally built for a retiring sea captain in 1905. In the nineties it was used as a vineyard and remants of that time can be found within the grounds, the main house was completely refurbished for use as a small hotel in the early nineties before reverting to a private residence for a number of years. 

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served Monday - Friday 7.00am - 9.30am and consists of an extensive breakfast menu including full English, vegetarian, omelettes, smoked salmon and poached haddock and eggs. The B&B uses as much home produced food and drink as possible as pigs and chickens are raised in the grounds of the property and there is an extensive fruit and vegetable garden. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Grounds & Gardens

This is a working smallholding with grounds, woodland and paddocks that attract a wide variety of wildlife as well as the owners own dogs, horses, pigs and poultry, guests are welcome to roam freely but please check first. Children are welcome to explore and play and can join in at feeding time.

Other facilities

There is WiFi available on site and storage for luggage and bicycles. It is possible to accommodate additional horses on site but please check with the B&B first, guests are welcome to bring dogs, although they are not allowed into the main house.
