Goldsmid House, Victoria, London

Modern and clean, Goldsmid House is ideally located close to Victoria station.

Introduction

Goldsmid House is situated in the heart of central London (SW1V 1HU), close to Victoria Station, and just a short walk away from Green Park and Buckingham Palace. Goldsmid House provides budget summer accommodation in single ensuite rooms from June until September, and small double rooms during August and September.  (Please note that the beds are small doubles and are 124cm wide).

Each floor has a large kitchen shared with up to seven other guests - no cooking facilites available - only kettles, toasters and microwaves. Goldsmid House is divided in two buildings around an external podium area.

There are many bars, cafes and restaurants close by. Local facilities include supermarkets and theatres whilst Chelsea is about a 10 minute walk away. There are a wealth of attractions to visit in London, including the British Museum, the museums of South Kensington and the West End. All of these are easily accessible from Goldsmid House given its excellent location in terms of public transport links.

Please Note: Because of Goldsmid House building materials, some bedrooms may have poor mobile phone reception.

Food and Drinks

Goldsmid House offers use of communal kitchens. All have refrigerators, freezers, toasters, kettles and microwaves, as well as basic crockery, cutlery and utensils.  There are many restaurants within walking distance of Goldsmid House.

Kitchens are cleaned frequently (at least once weekly), but guests are responsible for their own washing and tidying up.

Kitchens and communal rooms can be used 24 hours a day, but we would like to point out that use after 11pm at night might cause disturbance to other guests.

Grounds and gardens

There is an external podium area between the two blocks of Goldsmid House.  Green Park and St. James Park are within walking distance.

Good value no frills student accommodation especially suitable for single travellers.
Mr Richard C

We stayed for two weeks. It is just by Victoria station so, very well communicated. The room has just what one needs.Comfortable bed. And the common room was great to have some tea, or something when coming back for a long day. Very nice and helpful staff. And so peaceful at night! In the middle of everything and yet so quiet to have a great rest. Thank you to C.Fontaine from UCL for her help! I wouldn't think of any other place to stay. Planning to go back as soon as we can.
Ms Belen M

Used many times and it's totally reliable. Great location.
Mr hubert C

Loved it. Very handy for Victoria Station (arriving or leaving from Gatwick), and nice and quiet. Will be back.
Miss Jo C

Single en-suite was a reasonably sized room, bigger than similar accommodations in London. The bathroom was too small. The location was great, minutes away from Victoria Station. Recommended for single travellers.

Great mattress slept so well and with no back pain!
Mr Steven E

Ideal low cost solution to accommodation in a ridiculously expensive city. I am a business traveller and require only a clean bed and a shower which it provides.
