GPS: Lat. 45° 08′ 26 N Long. 006° 03′ 05 E. Our address is 38114, Oz en Oisans, France. There is no street or house number but the village is very small and our house is clearly signed. Your GPS may give slightly different directions to those below. The ones below are easier.

Car: If you are driving from Calais, the quickest route is via the A39, Dijon to Bourg en Bresse. This avoids the traffic on the A6 near Lyon.

Head towards Grenoble. From either of the ring roads around Grenoble follow signs to “Gap Briançon” and “Stations des Oisans”. Exit the ring road on the A480, Junction 8, “N85, Gap Briançon, Vizille, Stations des Oisans”. Follow the road up the valley following the signs to “Gap Briançon” until you come to a long (2.5Km) straight piece of road. At the end, turn Left in front of the Hotel Le Belledonne, signposted “Allemont, Oz en Oisans”. (Your GPS may tell you to turn right soon after this. You can do this but its easier to follow these directions.)

Follow the road through Allemont, drive up the dam and then cross it. At the T, turn left onto the viaduct, signposted to “Oz en Oisans”. After 1 Km, Turn Right, signposted “Oz en Oisans”. Climb the hill and after 800m, on the apex of a hairpin bend, turn Left into Oz en Oisans Village. Cross the little bridge and, 5m after the illuminated speed sign sign, turn hairpin right into the driveway.Keep left in the driveway and park on the right. Unloading is best done directly in front of the house.

We are 560 miles, 900Km from Calais and the driving time should be about 8.5 hours. Apart from the last 25Km, it’s all Autoroute or dual carriageway.

From Turin, a temporary road is in place between Briançon and Bourg d’Oisans during roadworks. Cars and light vans under 3.5t are permitted.

From the airport head for Torino.Take the Autostrada towards the Fréjus tunnel and Bardonecchia. After Susa, follow signs to Gap/Briançon. From Briançon follow signs to Grenoble until you near Bourg d’Oisans. You will be in the bottom of a flat valley, surrounded by mountains at this point. Keep on past Bourg d’Oisans until you see the Hotel Belledonne on your right.Turn right signposted Oz en Oisans.

Cross the little bridge and, 5m after the illuminated speed sign sign, turn hairpin right into the driveway. Keep left in the driveway and park on the right. Unloading is best done directly in front of the house.
