The Lord Nelson at Marshfield is 17th century building in the heart of the market town of Marshfield. The village lies on the southern edge of the Cotswolds and is just 6 miles from the Roman city of Bath. From its 12th Century church to its more recent 17th Century High Street, the village proudly displays its architectural heritage based on the old wool and malting industries. Marshfield has other amenities include an outstanding village shop, a butchers, newsagents and post office.
The restaurant has gained an excellent reputation for our freshly prepared menu with daily specials, we also offer a light lunch menu and have a popular Sunday Roast and host many special events. We pride ourselves on quality and value for money, and source as much of our food locally as is possible.
In addition to the bar areas, there is enclosed outdoor patio, and main restaurant in the 'Stables', there is also our 'Granary Room', a great place to hold that private dining experience or for a small meeting, it will comfortably seat 22 guests for a sit-down affair or for a typical meeting 15 people can be accommodated.
We welcome bookings for the restaurant to host larger occasions like weddings, christenings and other functions, where up to 65 guests can be catered for. We are perfectly located for visitors to Marshfield and those enjoying a walk in the surrounding countryside, or a cycle through the village.
