Introduction

The University of Plymouth’s halls of residence provide good quality, city centre accommodation at competitive rates for groups and individuals each summer in July and August.

The accommodation is well equipped with modern facilities and comfortable furnishings. A choice of single ensuite, and single standard rooms are available.

The accommodation is arranged in modern flats containing six - eight bedrooms, each with access to a fully equipped kitchen/dining area with everything you need for a self-catering break. Flats are typically let on a shared basis.

Free gym membership, and free internet access is available to all guests for the duration of your stay.

All of the rooms have access to a shared kitchen which has :-

  • an iron and ironing board
  • tea and coffee making facilities

Please note that washing up liquid or cloths are not provided in the kitchens.

A variety of supermarkets are only a short walk away. There are also plenty of small convenience stores that are usually open until late.

If you prefer not to cook, there are a number of cafes at the University campus at which you can eat at affordable prices. You don’t need to pre-book to eat at one of the cafes. The campus cafes provide a range of hot food, salad, sandwiches, soups and drinks with a real focus on local, sustainable produce. Please note that the cafes are not open during the evening or weekends. The city itself offers a wide range of international cuisines in a variety of restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance.

The University provides a guest WiFi service. The first four hours of connection, every day, will be free. After this time a payment will be required.

On-site sports facilities

To all our summer guests we are offering complimentary use of our on-campus gym facilities in the Nancy Astor Sports Centre.

The fitness suite offers cardiovascular exercise machines, weight resistance training equipment, lifting platform and a selection of free weights.
