The Lake District is easily reached for a day visit as are Manchester, Liverpool and Southport. Locally Fleetwood has a large market, shopping outlet, fish docks. Blackpool has plenty to offer, the Tower, piers, Pleasure Beach amusement park, zoo, theatres, clubs, shopping.
