Overview

Originally a beerhouse, The Plough was built in 1841 by private landlord Thomas Ackling on the Lechlade road at Highworth.

The inn and the adjoining cottage stands on the site of eight earlier cottages which must have been of near doll's house proportions as the pub has the distinction of being Arkell's smallest.

The Plough is situated in the small WIltshire town of Highworth, the highest town in the county picturesque views are in their plenty!

Close to local services, shops and history you will not be short of things to do in this quirky Market Town.
