A Grade II listed house in rural Wiltshire with two twin bedded/double rooms with private bath or shower room. One extra double room is sometimes available with en-suite shower. Each room has a TV and basin and free internet access.
The house has early 14th century origins including an intact Medieval Hall House roof with Arabic carpenter’s marks. Up on the landing are three very heavy windbraces and a base cruck beam. At the western end of the original Hall is a complete aisle truss.
The price includes a full English breakfast included with fruit.
Although evening meals are not served there are several pubs and restaurants in the vicinity including the village pub just 150 metres walk away.
Although no longer a working farm the arable fields have reverted to wildflower meadows, with hedges and ponds being introduced and geese and a dog are resident.
A new addition is the heated outdoor swimming pool which guests are welcome to use.
As well as maintaining permissive footpaths for walks around their own land, Savernake Forest, Wilton Brail and the Kennet and Avon canal have many wonderful routes and are within a walkable distance.
Gliding, fishing, golf and tennis are nearby.
