Histoire

Built in 1905 on the site of an old coaching Inn, the hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, overlooking the old town square. It is ideally situated for popular historical attractions including Hadrian’s wall, Carlisle Castle and Cathedral and the delights of the Lake District are just a stone’s throw from the hotel.

Restauration et Boissons

Breakfast is served from 7.00am-10.00am with either a Full English Breakfast or Continental Breakfast.

In the Railway Tavern Bar an extensive menu is served all day offering anything from a light snack to a hearty main meal with a selection of hot drinks and pastries. A Buffet lunch is served daily from 10.00am-2.00pm in the Peace & Plenty Restuarant offering a selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and main courses or a traditional Sunday lunch menu. Dinner is served from 6.30pm-9.30pm with a Table d'Hote menu of English and Continental cuisine.

A Room Service Menu offers a selection of light snacks and hearty main meals available 24 hours a day. The evening Table d’Hote Menu can also be taken in your room between 6.30pm-9.30pm.
