Histoire

Dating back to 1864, Heaton Mount was once a residence for a mill owner, whose family ran most of the textile industry in Bradford at the time (the Ambler Dynasty).

The house itself retains some of the original features such as the double aspect staircase, hand painted window and moulded cornices.  

The University of Bradford brought Heaton Mount in the 60's and it is now part the Faculty of Management and Law campus.

In the late 90's an accommodation annex was added and more recently some aspects of the building has undergone a sympathetic refurbishment.

Restauration et Boissons

Regrettably we have no food outlets on site, however a 2 minutes walk away, just at the bottom of our drive, there is a Sainsburys local, Greggs bakery, Subway, Thai Restaurant and local pub which serves bar meals.

Espaces verts et alentours

Heaton Mount is set within landscaped gardens including a large front terrace and Croquet lawn, which houses garden furniture during summer months.

Within a 5 minute walk from Lister Park, with over 9 acres of Parkland to explore, which is also on the English Heritage register of historical parks and gardens. The park features the grand Cartwright Hall which houses Bradford's civic art gallery and offers an exciting programme of contemporary exhibitions.

Rooms consist of flat screen TV with freeview channels, telephone, hairdryer, radio alarm clock and complimentary fair trade beverage tray with mineral water.

Internet Access: Free Wi-Fi is available for all guests throughtout Heaton Mount and is accessed by registering with the Cloud.

Children's Z beds available, which can be purchased at the same time as booking the accommodation - maximum 1 per room. Please bring your own travel cot and linen for cots.

The building is now used as a conference and event venue for the University, private companies and Weddings.
