Histoire

Knockinaam was build in 1869 as a hunting lodge for the Hunter-Blair family and remained as a family home until the 1960's when it was converted to a restaurant with rooms.

During WW2 Winston Churchill stayed here and met General Eisenhower to plan the D-Day landings.

Restauration et Boissons

Four-course set dinner with canapes, coffee and petit fours and each evening and traditional Scottish breakfast each morning is included with accommodation tariffs. Vegetarian/vegan and special diets can be catered for with prior knowledge.

Espaces verts et alentours

Large garden to enjoy with croquet lawn spreading out from the front of the hotel down to the sea. A kitchen garden provides many of the vegetables and herbs used by the Chef for evening dinner.

There is a secluded beach with rock pools to explore.

Free wifi internet access provided throughout the hotel. Daily papers are available to read in the lounge areas. There are no irons in the bedrooms but a laundry and ironing service available at an additional cost.
