By Air:  

Cork Airport 8 km (ORK) has frequent flights from Dublin and London with Aer Lingus (Heathrow and Gatwick) and Ryanair (Stanstead), and with other airlines from a wide range of other UK and continental European destinations. The airport web site has timetables and live arrival/departure information.

Taxis from the airport cost about €10, and there is an airport bus to the city centre every hour during the day. All the major car rental companies have desks at the airport.

When there is no direct flight to Cork, travellers from continental Europe can change at Dublin or London. Travellers from North America change at Dublin or Shannon. (There are no direct flights between Cork and Shannon - see rail or bus timetables.)

To Cork by Ferry

There is a direct ferry daily between Cork and Swansea (Wales), journey time about nine hours, with Swansea-Cork Ferries.

In summer, there is also a weekly service between Cork and Roscoff (Brittany) with Brittany Ferries.

From Rosslare (about three hours drive from Cork) there are ferries to Fishguard and Pembroke Dock (Wales) with Irish Ferries and Stena, and to other ports in northern France, also with Irish Ferries.

By Train: Cork Train Station just  10 minutes walk
