History

Over the course of its 730 year history, Ashridge House has been a monastery, a family home that has counted members of the British Royal family as it's owners, a college for politicians, a wartime hospital, a finishing school, and most recently a world-renowned business school.

Food & beverage

Accommodation is booked as room only, however, at an additional cost breakfast, lunch and dinner can also be purchased at the same time as your room booking. 

There are 2 local pubs within walking distance that serve food, and only a short drive from the local town of Berkhamsted, there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from for an evening out.

Grounds & Gardens

Ashridge Gardens cover 77 hectares (190 acres) and were originally designed by Humphry Repton in the early 19th century. The Gardens are made up of a number of small gardens as well as a large lawn area leading on to avenues of trees affording views out to the old parkland.

There is a lifestyle centre onsite which has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Gym. There are also tennis and squash courts with full equipment available to use.
