Overview

The Mill Arms nestles in the heart of the Test Valley countryside with stunning natural beauty all around. An added convenience is the excellent road and rail links to the historic cities of Winchester, Southampton, Salisbury, Porstmouth and Bournemouth all within 30-45 mins drive. The National Trust property of Mottisfont Abbey is an easy 10 minute ramble across the paddocks opposite.

A village pub that attracts custom from a wide radius. There are 6 ensuite bedrooms including a Four Poster ensuite. There is a motorised stair lift to the bedrooms which will take a wheelchair and there are disabled bathoom facilities for dining guests.

History

A former Coaching Inn dating back to the 18th Century surrounded by colourful gardens. It has retained many of its original features including flagstone floors, oak beams, and large open fireplaces creating a unique atmosphere making the Mill Arms a premier venue for all occasions.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served from 8.00am Monday-Friday and from 9.00am Saturday & Sunday. Continental Breakfast includes tea, coffee, orange juice, choice of cereals, toast and preserves. Brunch Bags-to-Go can be provided for early starters at £8.50 per person (advance notice is required).

The pub is open every day for lunch and dinner offering Real Ales, premium lagers with an extensive wine list. The Mill is open all day on a Saturday and a Sunday for food. The menu is on blackboards which are constantly changing to suit the seasons with local suppliers offerings. This is to keep it fresh and interesting for both guests and the chefs alike! During the Winter months the Restaurant is closed on Mondays for lunch and dinner. During January, February and March the pub closes at 5pm on Sunday evenings.

Food can be served in the large gardens, the bar area, the conservatory or Flints which is a smaller dining area off the main bar area.

Grounds & Gardens

The gardens are 3 tiered with lots of shrubs, flowers and trees bordering open farmland on one side and woods to the rear (which are accessible to the general public) with lots of picnic tables and chairs from which to enjoy the views. There are a myriad of walks straight out the front or back door that will appeal to both the once a year fresh air walkers and the ardent rambler. Dogs are most welcome and thoroughly enjoy themselves too.

Other facilities

Free Wi-fi connection in all areas of the pub and bedrooms. The pub has contacts within the fishing and shooting worlds which can offer you a great combination of these along with food, drink and accommodation. If you are a little hard of hearing or have difficulites with your sight please advise on booking to assist in your stay. Children are welcome and highchairs can be provided. Car parking for approximately 40-50 cars at the front and rear of the pub.

At roundabout take 1st exit onto A30 (signposted Stockbridge). At roundabout take 2nd exit onto A30 (signposted Salisbury, Stockbridge).
