Old Butchers B&B, Wingham

History

The exact age of the Old Butchers B&B is hard to establish, although according to English Heritage listing it dates back to the 15th and 16th century.
The building itself would have looked very different to what it does now. In fact it wasn't one building, but at least two. 

The Old Butchers Bed and Breakfast also had a very brief brush with fame when it appeared in the 1940's Film A Canterbury Tale. The Old Butcher, Mr Lucy can be seen stood outside the shop(left) when the main character in the film looks out of his bedroom window. The window is in the fictional Hand Of Glory pub, which is actually the Red Lion.

Food & beverage

The property offers a full English Breakfast with an award winning range of cereals and fruits as well as house specials using the finest locally sourced ingredients and is served from 8.30am-9.30am.
