Tigh na Geald - or House on the Hill is a beautiful Victorian house overlooking the village green in the centre of Aboyne on Royal Deeside. With Aberdeen and Balmoral only 30 minutes away on either side, it is the perfect base for visiting the many attractions in the area. Among them the Royal Estates, the many historic castles and whisky distilleries seem to be favourite but the ancient university city of Aberdeen, now the oil capital of Europe is also fascinating. The location of the house is very well situated, set back from the road, looking south across the village to the hills beyond. There is a choice of large double ensuite rooms or twin ensuite rooms which have French doors which open directly onto a veranda.
