Overview

Cookstown is famous for its longest and widest street in Northern Ireland, which is a haven for a variety of shops and businesses. The range of shops extends from small family stores to much larger chain stores. There is ample free parking providing a real paradise for shoppers. On Saturdays, Cookstown's main shopping area comes alive with a bustling, vibrant street market which has a Royal Charter dating back to the 17th century.

It has a diversity of interests to accommodate all visitors to the area. Cookstown District has an abundance of tourist attractions varying from Neolithic monuments, National Trust properties, forest parks and a picturesque marina. The main sporting activities in the area are walking, cycling, golfing and angling. Guided tours are available through the Tourist Information Centre and are an excellent way to discover Cookstown and its surrounding areas.

Located in the town centre The Belfast House has access to all that Cookstown has to offer. The bar offers our customers a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere at all times. And our accommodation has been approved by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board. We aim to give you real value for money and the flexibility you need to enjoy your stay.

Our rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated in an simple style with bespoke furniture and beds; we use high quality cotton sheets to ensure a great night sleep. All our rooms feature either an en-suite or a spacious bathroom and come equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, a television, and free Wi-Fi.

The Belfast House is one of Cookstowns most popular bars and offers our customers a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere at all times.
We have live music every weekend, for all to enjoy. The bar has a pool table, game machines and is a member of the local dart league. We are also known for our interest in horse racing and boast two main horse betting days – Saturday and Monday, and they are always great craic!
