Overview

At James' Place we can offer you either a traditional double room or 2 fully equipped studios with the added benefit of your own kitchen. You can expect quality affordable accommodation that suits you.

Brynawel is a beautiful Victorian house next door to Thomastown Park and has stunning views over the Merthyr valley. Brynawel is walking distance to Merthyr Tydfil town centre, the train and bus station, but far enough away for you to have a peaceful retreat.

Merthyr Tydfil is ideally placed between Brecon Beacons National Park and Cardiff, the Welsh capital, it is also one of the most historically fascinating and beautiful regions of Wales. A fifth of the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil lays within the Brecon Beacons National Park giving the area some dramatic and breath taking scenery. Guests love to walk Pen-y-fan South wales' highest mountain and the jewel in the crown of the Brecon Beacons.Come and visit the breathtaking waterfalls. Bike park Wales is but a few minutes away.

We also have the facility to store bikes
