The Tudor Manor House has Award Winning Gardens and 22 individual cut brick chimneys.
The manor is a Grade I Listed Building which was owned by the Cheyne family who were granted the manorial rights in 1180 and owned it till the end of the 15th Century. It was rebuilt in 1460. The original manor house was extended in the 16th century. The house was divided during the 18th and 19th centuries. The estate was bought by the present owners in 1950 by the MacLeod Matthews family.
Refreshments available include home made teas and cakes.
The gardens are the creation of Alistair and Elizabeth MacLeod Matthews and there is a wide variety of different gardens including a sunken garden, rose gardens, a physic garden and a kitchen garden.
The gift shop sells guidebooks, mementos, local produce and plants.
