Histoire

A former Coaching Inn dating back to the 18th Century surrounded by colourful gardens. It has retained many of its original features including flagstone floors, oak beams, and large open fireplaces creating a unique atmosphere making the Mill Arms a premier venue for all occasions.

Restauration et Boissons

You have the opportunity to taste at least 4 perfectly kept different and constantly changing Real Ales, premium lagers, a whole host of soft drinks, an extensive wine list and a suprisingly large range of spirits, and top shelf 'beauties' that always suprise many of our guests.

We are open every day for lunch and dinner (closing at 2.30 and re-opening at 6pm Mon- Friday) and remain open all day on a Saturday and a Sunday for food. (Only in the months of Jan, Feb and Mar we close the pub at 5pm on a Sunday evening)

Our menu is on blackboards as we are constantly changing it to suit the seasons, our suppliers offerings and to keep it fresh and interesting for both our guests and our chefs alike!

There are always Pub Favourites - the likes of which often include, lasagne, pies, casseroles, burgers, fish and chips etc

We also have an A La Carte board offering more restaurant style food, with lots of different and interesting styles, cuts and influences.

ALL FOOD IS MADE ON SITE - except from a few exceptions - a few of the ice creams and sorbets and some of the breads, are brought in from local suppliers.

You are welcome to eat in our large gardens, the bar area, the conservatory or Flints - a smaller dining area off the main bar area.

Children are welcome and we have two highchairs we can offer our smaller guests. Please note though that we do not offer lots of playground equipment etc (well to be honest we don't have any!) for our younger guests so if you are looking for a pub that is 100% focused on young families, we may not prove to be your best or first choice. We do however offer half portions of almost all our menus but do not offer - 'chicken nugget' type meals for kiddies. It is real food only at The Mill Arms.

Espaces verts et alentours

The Mill Arms has a large parking area offering spaces for approximately 40-50 cars - at the front and rear of the pub.

Excellent rail links with an hourly stopping train across the road to Southampton in one direction and Salisbury in the other direction. Our station is Mottisfont and Dunbridgewhich offers easy access to all the historic sites you may want.

Our gardens are 3 tiered with lots of shrubs, flowers and trees bordering open farmland on one side and woods to the rear (which are accessible to the general public)

There are lots of picnic tables and chairs from which to enjoy the views and wile away the day over a cold beer or glass of wine and food al fresco style. The sunshine quota - is one thing we can not control though!

There are a myriad of walks straight out the front or back door of The Mill Arms, that will appeal to both the once a year fresh air walkers and the ardent rambler. Dogs are most common and thoroughly enjoy themselves too!

The Mill Arms offers you free WIFI connection in all areas of the pub and the bedrooms.

We also have great contacts within the fishing and shooting worlds and can offer you a great combination of these along with food, drink and accommodation.

The less able we have a motorised stair lift to our bedrooms which will take a wheelchair and have disabled bathoom facilities for our dining guests.

If you are a little hard of hearing or have difficulites with your sight let us know and we will do everything to help you.

If you have food allergies or intolerances - no problem let us know and we will adapt almost all meals to suit your diet and tastes - if you would particularly like a certain dish(s) give us say 24 hours notice and we will make it for you specially.

All things are doable - or at the very least we will give it our best shot on your behalf!
