Dykefield is a working farm close by Mauchline, Ayrshire. Our B&B is tourist board rated, situated approximately a mile from Mauchline on a quiet side road, out of sight of Mauchline itself. Dykefield sits on a rise and commands a panoramic view across rolling Ayrshire countryside.
Mauchline is well placed for access to Glasgow and the Central Belt, Ayrshire, and Dumfries & Galloway. It is a good stop over for visitors heading (or returning from) further North.
Several airports and ferry terminals are near and readily accessible.
The B&B is a self-contained annex to the main Farm House and has its own front door. The annex has three bedrooms, 2 family rooms and a single room. There is also a separate Lounge/Dinning room as well as bathroom with shower and bath.
Children under are 5 free.
Mauchline is perhaps best known world wide for being the former home of Robert Burns. In 2002, Mauchline Burns Club unveiled the worlds first statue to his wife, Jean Armour. The village is also home of Mauchline Ware and Smith's boxworks, a major employer in the village for many years. Mauchline also boasts the only working curlingstone factory in the country.
