Offering a range of single ensuite rooms all with showers, on a self - catering basis.

Hastings Old Town, location of Foyle's war, nestled between the East and West Hills is only 30 minutes’ away, and with just a five minute’ walk to the beach, a long promenade with a cycle path, a pier and traditional seaside food, entertainments, bars and restaurants, making this the ideal place to visit.

The location was ideal, 5 mins from a train station with frequent trains to different places, 5 mins from the seafront and not far from St Leonards shops, and Hastings. The staff were very friendly and when we had a problem with noise from the other guests,they promptly dealt with it. The bed was comfy and the room was clean so we were very happy with our choice, so much so that I plan to come back next year. Southern rail do a great online deal with unlimited day travel for £18, and the buses do the same for even less. I recommend the Seaford to Eastbourne walk, the true crime museum in Hastings, and the hot chocolate shop in Rye. Oh and there is a great afro carribean restaurant in st Leonards, as well as a lovely conservation area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The staff's warm welcome and gracious helpfulness make a stay at Robert Tressell even more enjoyable than in other university halls of residence offering similar accommodation and facilities. Highly recommended!

By Train: There are direct trains from London Charing Cross, London Victoria, Ashford International (re Eurostar connection), and Gatwick Airport. Approxiate times are;

London Charing Cross one every hour takes approx 1hr 30mins (first train 6.30/last train 22.45), London Victoria one every hour takes approx 2hrs (first train 5.32/last train 22.47), Ashford International (re Eurostar connection) one every hour takes approxs 45mins (first train 6.14/last train 21.33), Gatwick Airport one every hour takes approx 1hr 25mins (first train 6.20/last train 23.19)

By Coach: National Express coach route 023 - London Victoria to Hastings

By Car: The major road route is the A21 which is linked to the M25. The fastest route into Hastings from the Channel Tunnel and Ferry Ports is via the M20 towards Ashford, then the A2070 via Brenzett towards Rye.

Some free on road parking and a number of paid car parks nearby.
