Residencia Universitaria Talitha, Barcelona

I had a Wonderful stay in Residencia Universitaria Talitha...A lot of that had to do with Julia the Lady who looks after the Residencia...She is a warm, friendly, very very helpful person...I loved the location, 10 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya, about 15 mins from the Cathedral. Nearby buses go to Barcelonata Beach and Port Vell. My room suited my needs - fresh bed linen, also if cold, blankets in the Wardrobe. The plus for me was the lovely Balcony . It overlooked the main street, the traffic didn't bother me - I loved sitting there, relaxing and looking at the people going by. There is also a metro stop a minute walk from the apartment. Many restaurants are near, if you want a meal, breakfast or just a lovely coffee... So I had a great time - loved staying there - would definitely stay there again....The Hostess, Julia - again I have to say is just Wonderful....Lovely warm person - so helpful. Top marks from me. Very good value for money. I had a bed, a little desk corner, a fridge and a nice balcony. Bathroom and toilet accross the room and it's well located. A few minutes from Plaza Catalunya, Triomphe Arc... There is a day/night shop in the street, and a few bars/places to eat (got a yummy bread at Blitz) Metro is just down the street. Julia, the hostess, is very sweet. And don't worry about the language, she uses google translate if you need to ask anything :) It's a beautiful building too and safe neighboorhood. I'd recommend using earplug though if you're a light sleeper like me (trafic can be noisy in the wee hours) but I did sleep well anyway. Oh and there is WIFI (on the site it says cable internet but it's wireless!) :) Gracias Julia!!! Heloise

I really enjoyed staying here. The room at the front of the building is rather noisy as there are busses outside but I slept well with earplugs. It's very central and easy to get around. The building itself has great character. I loved that it was older and a bit quirky. Julia is an absolutely delightful host. I wished I could have chatted more with her. I would stay here again.

L'endroit est bien situé pour visiter la vieille partie de la ville. La señora Julia est très gentille si vous savez parler un peu l'espagnol. Ma chambre était très petite avec peu d'air frais. Les lieux sont très vieux mais comme je n'étais jamais dans ma chambre, cela me suffisait.

Really loved my experience staying here with my close friend ! The balcony was fantastic and the room wonderful, although it was loud at night and very hot it was so close to the city and mrs julia was so kind that all was well. Definitely would reccomend !

Great location; Julia very welcoming. Room was big but it was above the street, which was extremely noisy all night ( had to keep window a bit open because it was so hot). Could do with a re-think about bedding. Two sheets and a pillowcase is too basic.

Absolutely loved the accommodations in Barcelona, they were perfect for our needs. And Ms. Julia (the host) was super friendly and helpful. I would definetly stay here again and recommend for anyone visiting. Thank you.

The host is very friendly, but it would be a problem if you can't speak Spnanish since she couldn't speak English at all.
